FAQ's about market fresh csa
Our CSA program - "Market Fresh Produce" was started in 2009 by Rob Glover and Andrew Strickland. We have enjoyed watching our program grow and hope you will join us!
What is csa?
-CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture - it is a contractual agreement between a farmer and consumer.
-Consumers, known as shareholders, purchase a share of the farmer's harvest, prior to growing season.
CSA has many advantages:
1. Consumers receive fresh, local produce each week
2. Farmers receive capital when it is needed most for planting
3. Farmers have a guaranteed market which reduces waste
4. All the money stays in the local economy
